Mental health service for school/ organization

Minh Tri is currently implementing two community mental health programs:

  • School Mental Health Program;
  • Mental Health Program for Workers in Companies/Organizations.

Why is it important to focus on mental health in organizations and schools?

In businesses, mental health in the workplace is becoming increasingly important to the organization’s culture, especially after the recent COVID-19 pandemic. According to research by Mind Share Partners, “78% of employees from the millennial and early Gen Z generations reported leaving jobs due to mental health issues. The majority of them (91%) believe that companies have a responsibility to support their employees’ mental health.” The growing mental health challenges among workers significantly affect productivity, employee turnover, and organizational engagement, all of which directly impact a company’s revenue. Therefore, focusing on employee mental health is an important trend in many large organizations and businesses.

In schools, student mental health is becoming a major concern. The rise in mental health issues directly impacts academic performance, social relationships, and future career development. In schools, a preventive model is extremely important to reduce mental health problems among students, teachers, and parents. This helps limit financial investments in treating mental disorders and reduces the risk of future issues such as mental illnesses, suicide, dropping out, or unemployment.

Common Mental Health Issues in the Workplace and Schools.

At the workplace, anxiety, stress, and depression are the most common mental health issues. These problems become more severe when combined with pressure to achieve work performance as before the pandemic, difficulties in managing work-life balance, a sense of disconnection, and concerns about the cost of living. All of these factors can negatively impact mental health, leading to:

  • Reduced personal productivity
  • Unwillingness to advance or slower career progression
  • Feeling discouraged and disconnected
  • Irritability
  • Poor concentration

For the team and the entire company, mental health challenges can be:

  • Increased tension among colleagues
  • Lack of support for the company’s culture and goals
  • Inflexibility
  • Bullying and psychological harassment
  • Decreased creativity, innovation, and overall productivity

In schools, students are increasingly reporting a variety of mental health issues:

  • Lower self-esteem, lack of motivation to study and develop
  • Lack of self-worth and personal growth
  • Conflicts with parents, friends, and teachers
  • Disconnection from those around them
  • Increased internet use and online gaming addiction
  • Substance abuse or addiction
  • Mental disorders, especially depression and anxiety
  • Suicidal thoughts and behaviors
